Desperation Conference, Colorado

Last Weekend, Kendra and I had the awesome opportunity to fly down to Colorado for their annual desperation conference. My good friend Dave Perkins set it all up for us and we were treated like royalty!!

The conference included 5000 young people desperately pursuing God and a litany of amazing speakers and bands. Because Kendra and I had zero responsibility, we were able to just soak in the presence of God and hang out with the Dband and all of their wives and kids. It seemed like everyone had all these beautiful children running around the green room, it made Kendra and I start talking about number three!! (that's still a future event, but stay tuned:)

Anyway, if you don't have any of desperation bands cd's, i highly recommend them. They are genuine Jesus lovers and their music is incredible. One of the most powerful moments was the last night when they paid tribute to the two teenage girls who were shot dead by a gunman in front of their dad after a sunday service. You can read more about that here. They interviewed the girls father and of course he was still devastated and had many questions, but his trust in God was unwavering. There were not many dry eyes in the building.

Much thanks to David and his staff for an amazing weekend, and for their commitment to seeing this generation press in to the presence of God.
